ARM1

The ARM1, or Acorn RISC Machine 1, is a 32-bit RISC (Reduced Instruction Set Computing) microprocessor developed by Acorn Computers in the 1980s. Introduced in 1985, the ARM1 operated at a clock speed of 6 MHz. It was the first processor in the ARM architecture series, which has since become one of the most widely used CPU architectures in the world, powering a vast array of devices from smartphones to embedded systems. The ARM1's efficient design, featuring a small transistor count and low power consumption, contributed to its success and paved the way for the development of subsequent ARM processors.
